Les Chaumes is situated halfway between the market towns of Melle and Chef Boutonne on the D737.
If you are coming from Poitiers, follow the N10 towards Angouleme for aproximately 30 miles, and exit the N10 onto the D948 towards Sauze Vaussais and Melle, follow the D948 for 14 miles, you will come to a left hand turn, the D737, signposted for Chef Boutonne and Sompt (just before the Avia garage). Turn left and follow the road for approximately 3 miles, on your right you will see a black sign for Les Chaumes, about 200 metres after this sign turn right, follow the road for 300 metres and Les Chaumes de Malassis is on your left.
If you are coming from Nantes, follow the signs for Niort, when you reach Niort follow signs for Angouleme and Limoges, this will take you onto the D948 towards Melle. When you get to Melle go through the town centre and follow the road until you arrive at a large roundabout with a Total garage on your left, go straight over this roundabout and continue straight on for approximately 3 miles, just past the Avia garage on the right is a right turn onto the D737, signposted for Chef Boutonne and Sompt. Turn right and follow the road for approximately 3 miles, on your right you will see a black sign for Les Chaumes, about 200 metres after this sign turn right, follow the road for 300 metres and Les Chaumes de Malassis is on your left. |
